Jason and Andree had a church ceremony before their reception at Red Maple Vineyard, with a unity candle lit partway through and a stained-glass window behind the bridesmaids during getting-ready portraits. Andree's reveal of her dress to the bridesmaids got the reaction those reveals are supposed to get — real gasps, not staged ones. They exited the church laughing with guests trailing behind them, and the reception had a saxophonist working the floor instead of a DJ, which changed the whole feel of the dancing.
