Friends and Neighbors is the newest property in the Audrey’s Farmhouse portfolio, located in Stone Ridge, New York, between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Catskills. It’s about 90 minutes from Manhattan and sits just outside the center of a historic town. I’ve shot here and the venue has a different feel from the other Audrey’s properties. It’s newer, cleaner, and more intentionally designed for events from the start.

The main event space is a 4,500-square-foot building with vaulted ceilings, white walls, custom trim molding, and neutral checkered flooring. The space is temperature controlled, so it works year-round without the heat issues of a greenhouse or the cold of a barn. It handles up to 200 guests and works as a neutral starting point. Couples can decorate it however they want, and the scale of the room means the design choices read well in photos. The vaulted ceilings give the space height, which matters for lighting and atmosphere.

The ceremony happens on the grounds outside the events building. The property is wooded, with the Shawangunk ridge visible in one direction and the foothills of the [Catskills](/catskills/wedding-venues/) in another. That in-between geography means the landscape has variety. You’re not deep in the mountains, but you’re not in a flat valley either.

Lodging is on-site for 20 guests across 10 rooms tucked into the wooded area of the property. A two-night stay is required for lodging guests, so they check in the day before and check out the day after. The rooms have wifi, mini-fridges, and Aesop toiletries. It’s a smaller lodging footprint than Full Moon Resort or Wylder, so this works best for the wedding party and immediate family. Additional guests will need off-site accommodations in Stone Ridge or nearby towns.

Catering is handled by the Audrey’s Farmhouse team. The pricing structure includes a site fee ranging from $9,000 to $16,000, a $28,000 food and beverage minimum, and the package covers a 6.5-hour event with ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, reception, and a 5-hour open bar plus staff. Bartenders, servers, a venue manager, parking flaggers, and kitchen staff are all included. That’s a comprehensive package for the price point.

The honest consideration: Friends and Neighbors doesn’t have the established visual identity of the Greenhouses or the wooded estate feel of Old Mill. It’s newer and less known. But that’s also an advantage. Your wedding photos from here won’t look like every other venue in the region. The clean, modern interior gives couples more control over the aesthetic, and the space photographs well because it doesn’t fight with the decoration.

The events building is well-designed for photography. The vaulted ceilings give me room to work, and the white walls bounce light evenly. During daytime events, the natural light fills the space without hot spots. After dark, the height of the ceilings means off-camera flash bounces cleanly. The checkered floor is subtle enough that it doesn’t compete with the couple or the decor.

Outdoor ceremony coverage depends on the time of year and the ceremony location on the grounds. The wooded areas provide filtered light in the afternoon, and the open areas get direct sun earlier in the day. I recommend afternoon ceremonies when the light is lower and more directional. The Shawangunk ridge in the background adds a horizon line that gives depth to wide ceremony shots.

The guest rooms in the wooded area work for getting-ready coverage. They’re newer and have consistent window light, which makes prep shots simple. The rooms are smaller than a farmhouse or cottage, so I work with what the space gives me. For bridal prep, I prefer the rooms with the most window exposure.

The transition from outdoor ceremony to indoor reception is quick. The events building is close to the ceremony area, so guests move naturally. I use that transition window for couple portraits on the grounds before following the couple inside. The contrast between the outdoor landscape and the clean interior gives the gallery range.

One note: because the interior is relatively neutral, the couple’s decor choices have outsized impact on how the space photographs. Couples who invest in lighting and florals for this room get images that stand out. The space responds well to design.

Events Building Interior: 4,500 square feet with vaulted ceilings and white walls. Even, bounced light during the day. Clean backdrop that takes on the character of whatever decor the couple brings in. Works for ceremony, dinner, and dancing.

Outdoor Ceremony Grounds: Wooded property with views toward the Shawangunk ridge. Afternoon light filters through the trees. Open areas available for larger ceremonies. The ridge line adds depth to wide shots.

Wooded Guest Room Area: The lodging buildings set among trees. Works for getting-ready coverage and morning portraits. Dappled light through the tree canopy.

Property Grounds: The areas between buildings and the wooded edges. Works for couple portraits, group shots, and first looks. Afternoon and golden hour light.

Stone Ridge Village Proximity: The venue is near the historic town center. For couples who want a few portraits with a different backdrop, the nearby streets offer a change of pace.

Take advantage of the full-weekend structure. The two-night lodging requirement means your on-site guests arrive the day before and leave the day after. Use Friday for a rehearsal dinner or welcome gathering. Use Sunday for brunch. The Audrey’s team can coordinate all of it under the food and beverage minimum.

The events building is a clean slate, so plan your design early. The white walls and neutral floor mean the room will look like whatever you put into it. Couples who work with a strong florist and invest in lighting transform the space. Couples who rely on the room to carry the aesthetic on its own get a room that photographs clean but plain. The design is up to you.

Understand the pricing: the site fee ($9,000 to $16,000) plus the $28,000 food and beverage minimum plus service fees puts the total in a similar range to the other Audrey’s properties. The inclusions are solid. You’re getting bartenders, servers, venue management, parking flaggers, kitchen staff, and a 5-hour open bar. Compare the all-in number, not just the site fee.

On-site lodging handles 20 guests, which covers the wedding party and close family. Everyone else needs off-site hotels. Stone Ridge, High Falls, and New Paltz all have options within 15 to 20 minutes. Communicate lodging options early and arrange shuttles for guests who aren’t staying on the property.

For photography, schedule the ceremony for afternoon. The outdoor areas read best with directional, lower light. Summer ceremonies work between 4:30 and 5:30pm. Fall ceremonies can start earlier. I’ll coordinate timing with you based on the season and sunset.
